10 March 2010
US business students 'see improved opportunities'Students graduating from business courses in the US are seeing their prospects improve.

This is according to a recent article in the New York Times, which suggested the jobs market in the country is stabilizing.

University of Virginia business school student Kwame Yankson told the news source he had been turned down by a number of investment banks last year, but "the market is clearing up" and he has secured a full-time position this year.

Those seeking finance jobs in US may be interested to learn that more banking roles and internships are emerging as institutions recover from the recession, although some companies "are still cautious".

A December poll by the MBA Career Services Council discovered 39 per cent of US business schools forecast a rise in summer internship opportunities, compared with 26 per cent expecting a dip.

Fewer job losses took place in the US during February than in any other month in the past two years, figures from the Automatic Data Processing and Macroeconomic Advisor have shown.ADNFCR-1275-ID-19660194-ADNFCR
