purpose of role

A specialist Recruiter for a group of business units. To enable the client to attract and recruit appropriately skilled, high calibre people at an appropriate cost, up to senior management level and occasionally across a region.  
 
scope of role

Reporting to the Senior Recruiter onsite, the Recruiter will manage the recruitment campaign on behalf of the line manager, in conjunction with HR. Ensuring vacancies posted both internally and/or externally; managing vacancies from candidate generation, approval of hire to verbal offer. Advising the most cost-effective recruitment methods; working with the line to establish appropriate terms and conditions. 

key responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for the business area/line managers on day-to-day recruitment activity
  • Proactively working with the business to understand their recruitment needs; formulate recruitment plans
  • Writing and assessing job descriptions; consulting/advising the client on the market conditions; best methods of attracting candidates & reducing their time taken in administration
  • Ensuring relevant authorisation/approval is provided for all open requisitions before starting to actively hire
  • Advising/coaching line managers on recruitment policies & procedures; external best practice; selection processes, competency frameworks & interview techniques
  • Proactively working with non-compliant line managers to ensure the SLA is met and adhered to
  • Sourcing candidates directly (via advertising, open evenings, referrals, road shows etc)
  • Co-ordinating CV/resume interview & offer feedback, including interpretations of personality questionnaires, to agencies, line managers and candidates
  • Researching innovative recruitment strategies and developing creative solutions to generate high quality CV’s
  • Ensuring all Intranet job posting details are constantly updated
  • Actively managing the business’ PSL: maintaining and building relationships with third party recruitment agencies
  • Ensuring a HR interview is carried out for all final stage candidates
  • Attending relevant internal and external (Origin and Agency) meetings
  • Providing business specific management information on request, both quantitative and qualitative

key performance indicators 

  • Client Feedback - successful management of new and existing relationships with line managers, HR generalists & third parties, as well as peers within the Origin HR onsite team through provision of full service recruitment expertise for the business unit
  • Business Need - recruitment campaigns/projects delivered to time and budget
  • Increase of direct hires and reduction of reliance on agencies
  • Innovations - use of a mix of recruitment channels, both traditional & online, to identify & select candidates
  • Volume - number and level of assignments handled and recruitment events, which lead to hires
  • Origin HR Feedback – Management Team, Senior Recruiter & onsite team members and peers from other client accounts
  • Costs - evidence of reduced recruitment costs e.g. reduced agency fees, online advertising, direct hiring

  • CAO & Business line managers
  • Origin on-site team, Origin HR Recruitment Administrators and Origin HR Management team
  • Client HR generalists and recruitment colleagues, both in the localised team and international offices(if relevant)
  • Headhunters, recruitment & advertising agencies, Internet based recruitment companies

skills and experience required 

  • Recruitment experience/management in a multinational organisation as an Internal Recruiter or within a specialist search agency, with specific focus on technology or financial services sectors
  • Proven experience of sourcing candidates directly
  • Experience of having recruited in a busy/demanding client environment
  • Experience of having managed third party relationships, agencies
  • Proven interviewing and co-ordination skills
  • Strong academic background: a degree, or equivalent qualification
  • May have, or be studying for, an appropriate HR qualification e.g. CIPD. SHL/OPQ qualifications
